A permanent full time position exists for a Team Leader/ Senior Caseworker within Bayview Disability Services, based in North Geelong.  We are looking for a skilled and creative person to lead and supervise a team of caseworkers who support children and young people with a disability and their families, through case management, individual support packages and flexible support packages.  

 

Remuneration will be according to the SACS award Class 3.  Other attractive employee benefits (eg. salary sacrifice) are available.

 

Selection criteria include:

  • Relevant experience in the disability sector and/or in provision of case management services to families and children;

  • Demonstrated skills in person-centred thinking, planning and practice

    High level team building, interpersonal skills and supervision skills.

  • A  Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent tertiary qualification;

Family Services Case Manager

A contract position is available within our committed and enthusiastic team.  We provide case management and support to children and young adults who have a disability, and their families in the Barwon region.  This is a great opportunity to develop new skills amongst experienced staff and get a taste of working in the disability field.  Some of the children and young people are living in their own family homes and some live in placements with volunteer caregivers. We assist young people and their families to plan the things which will help them achieve a satisfying life with as much choice, independence, dignity and participation in the community as possible.

Applicants will need to have a relevant tertiary qualification such as social work, and preferably have experience in the child and family welfare or disability field, however new graduates are welcome to apply.

Receptionist/Administration Officer

Residential Supervisor

Rice Education and Youth Services is a specialist state wide service which combines case management, education and residential care for young people between 9-15 years of age who have experienced significant trauma/attachment related issues. 

Currently, Rice is seeking a highly motivated and skilled supervisor to provide leadership to residential care workers in a residential unit. Successful applicants will:

 

  • Have a strong commitment and understanding of working with young people with behavioural and emotional difficulties
  • Demonstrates strong leadership/organisational skills in high workload situations
  • Posses an innovative and creative approach to engaging young people and a team of staff to achieve positive outcomes for young people in care

The position is rostered full time, for 12 months, based in Altona Meadows with Terms and Conditions as per MacKillop Family Services Enterprise Agreement 2005. Remuneration will be based on skills and experience.

The Alternate Care Footscray office is the base for operating services in the North/West metropolitan region of Melbourne. The programs include Foster care, Lead Tenant, Long Term Specialised Care and Youth Residential Services.

Several casual opportunities currently exist for Disability Support Workers and Complex Care Attendants within our Disability Services Metro.  We are looking for a highly skilled staff with proven Disability experience or complex care experience to provide support families, our Community Inclusion team and our Special Support Unit. You will require demonstrated ability to relate to young adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. Well developed interpersonal and communication skills, capacity to deal with multiple demands and the unexpected and Certificate in Level 2 First Aid.

Technical Support Engineer

MacKillop Family Services is a Catholic welfare agency who provides specialist services to children, young people and families in Victoria. As a leader of IT within the Community Services Sector they have a position available to person who is a  specialist in their field but looking to work for a Community based organisation.

Technical Support Engineer Barwon – Your primary responsibility is to provide IT support  for staff and the IT Infrastructure of MacKillop Family Services. This includes managing a service desk support queue, maintaining  user accounts, email and security settings, troubleshooting IT infrastructure issues and positively contributing to the development of MacKillop Family Services.


Relevant qualifications and experience are essential to secure this position. As the first point of contact for all staff in the Barwon
Region, you will be responsible for helping others to utilise the IT infrastructure to its full potential.

Youth Worker MFS/MFB Mentoring Program

"Firey" Mentoring Program


An exciting opportunity exists for the right person to run a brand new mentoring program in inner
Melbourne.

MacKillop Family Services in collaboration with the Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board (MFB) is establishing a 12 month Pilot Program to train MFB fire-fighters as mentors and match them with mentees, aged 16-30 years, drawn from Indigenous, CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) and socially and economically disadvantaged communities.

The successful applicant will have proven capacity to engage and support the target group as identified above. Case management and organisational skills are a must and you will need to be an effective networker, able to establish links within the community.
