| To kids who live in warm, loving, secure homes, the world is their oyster. To those who don’t, it’s a cold, lonely, frightening place — awash with the blackness of confusion.
Confusion why they can’t live at home. Confusion as to why they’re “different”. Life can be confusing enough to growing young minds and souls — let alone without the caring, guiding hand and heart of family.
MacKillop Family Services offers these kids a raft to a better life. Our services teach them how to swim through the hard times and navigate around the “sharks”, or bad choices.
Our programs give them the knowledge, skills and confidence to launch themselves into the big, wide world. Knowing they can make it. Knowing that they’re worth it.
We also help disabled kids and their families. They too, all need to know they can make it. With MacKillop’s physical and emotional support, they can.
Another major part of our work is family support programs, to preserve families who are homeless, disadvantaged or experiencing problems with substance abuse.
And that’s where we need you. Your donation of money or time is what makes the difference. Every child is special. Your gift helps them to know that.
