At MacKillop, we celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, gender diverse and intersex people. We recognise the LGBTIQA+ community may experience unique challenges in accessing supports and services. In response, we pledge to provide inclusive and non-discriminatory services to LGBTIQA+ clients. We commit to developing LGBTIQA+ inclusive practices across all our services and creating safe and inclusive environments for clients, staff, volunteers and foster carers.
To support us with this ongoing focus, MacKillop has proudly been awarded Rainbow Tick accreditation. The Rainbow Tick provides a benchmark for LGBTIQA+ inclusive practice. Organisations that achieve Rainbow Tick accreditation commit to continuously reviewing and improving the care they provide to the LGBTIQA+ community.
