Yes, I can help a child!
By providing a stable home to a child or young person, foster carers help create a brighter future for those who may not have had the best start in life.
Many types of people can become foster carers. MacKillop foster carers come from all backgrounds and family types.
As a foster carer in NSW you can:
- be single or have a partner
- have children of your own or not
- own or rent your home
- work, stay at home, study or be retired
- be from any culture or religion
Your commitment can range from a weekend a month to full-time.
You can provide care for a weekend, a few weeks, a few months or even years. You choose the period that suits you.
Most importantly, our carers share the desire to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people in need.
Our NSW foster care services operate across:
- Western Sydney
- the Blue Mountains
- the far south coast
We are proud to be a part of Fostering NSW, which is a partnership between the NSW Government and non-government out-of-home care agencies.
MacKillop is currently recruiting and training foster carers in New South Wales. Can you help give a child or young person a brighter future?
