For many Australians, December's arrival means that the spirit of Christmas is in the air. But for some, Christmas time is not always the most wonderful time of the year.
Christmas Gift Appeal
With the ongoing challenges caused by the pandemic, the vulnerable children and families we work with need your help more than ever. It is your support that makes it possible for us to give children and young people in our care a present that shows they are valued and loved during this time of the year.
You can make a real difference this year by participating in our Christmas Gift Appeal. With your help, we are aiming to deliver gifts to 450 children and young people in our care across Australia.
This year, you can help us in three different ways:
Send us a gift voucher
There are two reasons why gift vouchers are the preferred option:
- There are more teenagers than children in our care
- We have particularly struggled to find gifts that are appropriate for our teenagers in past years. Teenagers have their own personal style and providing gift vouchers grants them the freedom of choice.
If you're able to send gift vouchers, kindly post these vouchers to our office at 237 Cecil Street, South Melbourne VIC 3205 by Friday 10th December, or you can purchase electronic gift vouchers that can be emailed to email@example.com
Send a personalised gift
You can also buy and send gifts for the children and young people in care. Here is a list of suitable gifts you may wish to choose from. We request that the gifts be left unwrapped, so that our staff can choose what’s best for the children they support based on their age and interest. Gifts can be delivered to our South Melbourne office, or you can contact Community Engagement Officer, Susan Parajuli, on 03 8687 7552 or email firstname.lastname@example.org, at least one week prior, and we will arrange collection on or before Friday 10th December.
Make an online donation
With so many vulnerable children and young people to help, we often need to purchase additional gifts particularly for young people of a certain age group that are overlooked. If you would like to spread some Christmas cheer but don’t know what to present to give, make an online donation so that our staff can use the funds to buy appropriate presents for the children in our care.
