As the gap between funding provided by government and the increasing needs in our community expands, your support is more critical than ever.
Children and families who need MacKillop’s support to recover from loss and trauma are finding hope for a brighter future thanks to you.
This year, you’ve helped us to:
- Support 500 families to stay together through our Family Therapy program and provide another 300 with in-home crisis support
- Recruit and train 150 new foster carers to look after children who can’t safely stay with their families
- Review the plans and supports for 100 young people in our residential homes to better understand their dreams and their challenges, so that we can advocate for systemic change while also providing individualised and therapeutic support for each of our young people
- Helped 200 children and young people unable to attend school through outreach education programs, including the new Paw Pals program, while also achieving our best attendance level’s ever at our specialist schools
- Helped 950 former residents to access their records through our Heritage team
