Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan

On 13 February 2023, on the 15th Anniversary of the apology to the Stolen Generations, MacKillop Family Services launched its second Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

At MacKillop we acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who were separated from family, community and culture, and through hearing the resilient stories of Stolen Generations survivors we hope to join in on the healing journey and to be part of the solution into the future.

Our second RAP, which runs from February 2023 to January 2025 will help us build on the foundations we’ve laid and bring us further along our journey to reconciliation. We have listened and consulted widely, and we’re committed to acting on what we have heard.

At MacKillop we are deeply committed to Aboriginal self-determination and this commitment forms part of our Strategic Plan to ensure that MacKillop is a culturally safe and informed organisation. MacKillop also actively supports a constitutionally enshrined Voice to the Commonwealth Parliament as articulated by the Uluru Statement from the Heart. Read our full statement here.

We will be collaborating with community and our sector colleagues to implement the actions in our second RAP.

Our first Reconciliation Action Plan outlined actions we delivered from May 2020 – May 2022. You can access both documents below.
