MacKillop is partner in the Orange Door, delivering the child wellbeing component in the Brimbank Melton region. The service supports at-risk families to manage significant parenting problems that may be affecting their child’s development. Some of these issues can include:

  • family conflict and/or breakdown
  • physical or mental illness
  • substance abuse
  • disability
  • social or economic disadvantage
  • isolation and lack of connection to their local community.

Some families may be given advice and information whereas others may require further assessment. Referral to a local Integrated Family Service organisation may be involved to provide support with the family’s situation.

MacKillop is partner in the Orange Door in the Brimbank-Melton region. We work in partnership with a range of community services as well as the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing to link families to the relevant services they need.

The service is available for families with children aged up to 17 years, including those with unborn children.

Please note this is not a disability support service. MacKillop provides NDIS Support Coordination for people with an approved NDIS support plan.
