The Southern NSW Family Referral Service brings together families, support services and community resources to help families work through difficult situations, ensuring children and young people are safe and well at all times.

We provide support to families living in the southern NSW local government regions of:

  • Eurobodalla
  • Bega Valley
  • Snowy Monaro
  • Palerang
  • Queanbeyan
  • Yass Valley
  • Hilltops
  • Weddin
  • Upper Lachlan Shire
  • Oberon
  • Goulburn Mulwaree.

If you live outside these areas and would like to access the service, we happy to locate a closer service for you.

We can help you with:

  • respite care
  • parenting programs
  • child care
  • supported playgroups
  • youth services
  • education assistance
  • housing and supported accommodation
  • financial assistance
  • legal support
  • counselling
  • post separation support
  • family violence support
  • mental health support
  • drug and alcohol support
  • any other service you may need.

How to access this service

The Family Referral Service is a free service that operates between 8am–6pm Monday to Friday (except public holidays). If necessary, we can meet with you outside of these hours by appointment.

The Family Referral Services are a NSW government-funded initiative. MacKillop provides this service to southern NSW families in partnership with Marymead
