The Strengthening Parent Support Program is available to the parents and carers of a child with a disability or developmental delay (up to 18 years old).
The program is available for families and carers living in the Victorian local government regions of:
- City of Melbourne
- Moonee Valley
- Hobsons Bay
Our coordinator will provide parents with the opportunity to meet other local families in a supportive, relaxed setting where they can socialise, share information or take part in training programs to support them in their caring role.
The program also provides:
- linkages to other community support groups and services
- information on relevant topics such as behaviour support, NDIS and Wills and Estate planning
- one-to-one support
- assistance to establish parent support groups
- support for parents to self-advocate to ensure their child’s goals and needs are being met.
How to access this service
