Our weekend camps offer an enjoyable break away for children and young people with a disability.

Weekend camps provide a fun and social getaway for children and young people with a disability where they can make new friends, learn new skills and develop independence and take part in community activities.

The small-group camps are held throughout the year They are available to children and young people with a disability living in the local government regions of:

  • West metropolitan Melbourne (including Moonee Valley, Maribyrnong, Hobsons Bay, Brimbank, Melton and Wyndham)
  • Barwon

Every attempt is made to meet the needs of all participants on camps with activities matched to suit a participant’s likes, support needs and goals and are available to the following age groups:

  • 7-12 years
  • 13-18years

We provide:

  • assistance with self-care.
  • accommodation and full catering
  • access to tourist attractions and local events
  • trips to all parts of Victoria (eg: Philip Island, Ballarat, Bendigo, Mornington Peninsula, Melbourne city).

Eligibility for young people with an NDIS plan:

  • Young people have the following line item(s) on their support plans
  • Assistance to access community-based social and recreational activities – standard/complex needs Saturday
  • Assistance to access community-based social and recreational activities – standard/complex needs Sunday
  • Assistance with self-care-night-time sleepover
  • Aged between 6-18 years

Eligibility for young people without an NDIS plan:

  • Children and young people with a disability
  • Aged between 6-18 years
  • Residing in Western metropolitan Melbourne including Melton, Maribyrnong, Moonee Valley, Brimbank, Hobsons Bay or Wyndham

How to access this service

Weekend camps are available to young people with or without an NDIS package. There is an activity cost associated with each camp.
