Volunteer Weekend Live-In Carers

MacKillop Family Services is seeking positive role models (individuals or couples) to provide volunteer weekend care for young people, aged 9-17 years, who live in foster care.

MacKillop has a new model of foster care where the full-time foster carers take respite on weekends from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon.

The volunteer weekend live-in carer will be instrumental in providing a healing and supportive environment for the young people in care, as well as overseeing their day-to-day needs and running of the house.

The carer/carers will receive 24-hour on-call support, whilst staying in a fully maintained house with up to three children.

The volunteer weekend live-in carer will also receive  financial reimbursements to assist with the costs of caring for the children.
