Weekend Breaks

Our weekend breaks provide fun and inclusive community-based activities for children and young people with disabilities.

Weekend Breaks are fun weekend getaways for children and young people to make new friends, be part of the community and develop independence. The program gives children and young people opportunities to explore new interests whilst also providing respite for families and carers.

What we offer

  • Small group settings tailored to individual needs
  • Trips to all parts of Victoria eg Philip Island, Ballarat, Bendigo, Mornington Peninsula, Melbourne city
  • Access to tourist attractions and local events
  • Fully catered trips with accommodation included

This program is currently accessible to children and young people who have a disability with and without an NDIS plan.

Eligibility for young people with an NDIS plan:

  • Young people have the following line item(s) on their support plans
  • Group based community, social and recreational activities – Saturday or Sunday / Saturday or Sunday higher intensity
  • Assistance to access community, social/recreational acts – Saturday or Sunday individual higher intensity
  • Assistance with self-care, night time sleepover
  • Aged between 7-25 years

Eligibility for young people without an NDIS plan:

  • Children and young people with a disability
  • Aged between 7-18 years
  • Residing in Melton, Maribyrnong, Moonee Valley, Brimbank, Hobsons Bay or Wyndham.
