We assist families with children aged up to 18 years (including those with unborn children) living in the local government areas of:

  • Melbourne
  • Moonee Valley
  • Maribyrnong
  • Hobsons Bay
  • Brimbank
  • Melton
  • Wyndham

With a focus on building strong, flourishing families, our goal is to give parents the skills and confidence they need to raise healthy, happy children in a loving home environment.

Our support is:

  • practical (parenting education/skills development and household management strategies)
  • emotionally supportive (building on and developing existing relationships and strengths)
  • culturally sensitive (connecting families with cultural groups and services in their communities)
  • community focused (facilitating access to other community support services, if needed).

Parenting groups

We also offer two types of parenting groups for families who live in Melbourne Metro West.

MoneyMinded

MoneyMinded is an education program that builds your knowledge and confidence to help you make informed decisions about how to manage money.

By participating in the MoneyMinded program you will learn techniques for effective budgeting, managing debt, smart banking and future planning including superannuation and saving.

This course runs for eight consecutive weeks, for two hours at a time. It is available to all parents and young people.

Circle of Security

The Circle of Security parenting course looks at how parents can build their relationship with their children and enhance attachment.

Studies show that infants and children who have secure attachment to their primary caregiver can develop more resilience, better social and problem-solving skills and higher self-esteem. This can assist children to maintain positive relationships throughout their lives.

This course runs for eight consecutive weeks, for two hours at a time. It is available to the parents of children aged up to 8 years.
