Young Carers - Melton

Young Carers Melton is a recreational/respite group for young people who care for and support a parent or other family member who is living with a mental illness.

The group is co-facilitated with Cohealth and meets Wednesday afternoons in Melton during school terms.

What we can offer:

Young people use their time in the group to:

  • have fun
  • develop friendships
  • develop support networks around them.

This group incorporates Paying Attention To Self (PATS).

The group’s program includes activities such as:

  • visiting Luna Park
  • go-karting
  • cooking
  • swimming.

Who is eligible?

This program is targeted towards secondary school aged children and is open to those who live in the local government area of Melton, in Victoria.
